Edit a photo in the Edit tab in Luminar Neo and see the changes in real time on your smartphone. Great news! Now you can use the mirroring functionality of Luminar Share. Luminar Neo 1.0.1: bug fixes and performance improvements New Warning Message the NEO will DESTROY all your work. Not in the release notes is a Warning Message: Skylum really should call this a beta release. Still, compared to the time it would take coming up with all these adjustments from scratch, you’re still saving a lot of time using presets.īest of all, you can use these presets as a starting place to create your own – remember to add a watermark with Luminar 4 to your photos too.The Seuss demo was one of the best I have seen. Most, if not all, are going to need some fine-tuning adjustments afterwards to get them looking just right. Remember, each Luminar preset is really designed to just be a starting place. For me, these are often the ones that keep my images looking realistic while offering enhancements that really bring out the best in my photos. In the end, the best Luminar presets will be the ones that match your photography style. (If you use Aurora HDR, Trey also has some amazing HDR presets available – some free Luminar presets as well.) There are also a number of awesome premium collections created by other excellent photographers like Trey Radcliffe and Jim Nix (i.e. Some are sold as single Luminar presets, others are sold as collections. (I just covered those offered through Skylum’s marketplace here.) If you’re interested in more free Luminar presets, there are plenty of third-party ones available. If you’re an advanced editor, try using them with the different blending modes for a whole other set of creative options. If you’re a beginner, a Luminar preset can help you see what’s possible. Whether you’re using free Luminar presets or paid ones, you’ll save a lot of editing time, especially once you get accustomed to the Looks you really like. (It’s also easier to adjust each individual filter in Luminar.) They work especially well on landscape photos taken on gray days, but I found that they can also add a special element to shots taken in full sun.Īs a preset pack, there’s something for both beginners and advanced Luminar users.Ī great collection for effortlessly adding mood and atmosphere to your shots.Īlso designed as a set of Lightroom presets, a single purchase lets you use them in either application, though if you’re using Luminar 4 as your primary editing app there’s not really a lot of reason to use them in Lightroom instead. Moving on to Luminar’s premium presets, Moody Days is a set of 10 presets designed to add feeling and mystique to your photos. Here’s a list of the best paid options out there, which all work well with the latest version of Luminar, as well as older versions. While the above free Luminar presets do a fine job at editing your RAW files with just one click, there’s a lot of be said about paying for your photo editing. You can see in the image above that things were naturally enhanced, not overdone. Many presets seem a bit overdone to me, even backed off. What I really like about this particular looks pack is that it’s easy to get a natural look in an image. It comes with a variety of options, from landscape enhancers to portrait looks. You don’t have to be a SmugMug user to really enjoy this collection of presets. That being said, let’s get to the Looks themselves, starting with 5 of Skylum’s free Luminar presets and followed by a few premium ones. Luminar 3 presets will still work in Luminar 4, it just may be trickier to find the individual filters for fine-tuning. This makes a difference some of the time since some of the filters present in Luminar 3 were either consolidated with others or renamed in Luminar 4. As a result, there aren’t quite as many presets made specifically for it as there are for Luminar 3. Keep in mind, though the latest version of Luminar – Luminar 4 – is still relatively new. These 10 sets of Luminar Looks are some of the most versatile offered through Skylum’s marketplace. 0 I can contact 0 F-ing Dope 2 Amazing 0 This looks interesting and unique. I missunderstoad the sequence for the cuckoo/quail. It can't be anything from the count wheel to Like I said, the count wheel isn't getting out of Likely be that the pinion is skipping gears on The ratchet and star wheel could also be slipping Wheel is not well engaged with the pinion The picture does show that the gear on the count Or the chain ratchet and star wheel are slipping Wheel ( which looks like it is possible from the picture ) If the pinion on the chainwheel is pinned to theĪrbor of the chain wheel, there are only twoĮither the pinion is skipping gears on the count The flutes, gong and quail are all started from He states that the countwheel does not get I've just been trying to pin down symptoms.Īfter the count wheel, and slippage would cause I have had these springs fall out, as they are only pressed in through a small hole in the front plate.īTW, a weight that is too heavy will cause the same problem. All of them have tension springs, a straight piece of spring wire that runs from the front plate to the count hook assembly. I have three c-q clocks and four spare movements. On two accasions at 10, I actually watched the count hook bounce out of the slot in the count wheel. The quail has been calling with no problem also. This clock, as yours, ran for years with no problem striking. It got worse the more often I either adjusted the tension wire or took the movement apart. Sometimes the clock would run fine for 2-3 days, but it would eventually strike a greater number than the hands indicated. After 24 hours it could be ahead any number. The c-q that I had a problem with would occasionally and at random jump ahead at least one hour. I would think that in a case like that, the strike would be behind and not ahead. The small pinion that drives the count wheel, now that could be worn or damaged and it slipping could stop the count wheel from advancing. The second pictures shows the second gear at about 6 pm, and the escape wheel, though not shown is still about two pm.I fail to see any possible connection between a ratchet click and the number of strikes. Question, is which gear is suspect? First picture shows a mark on the escape wheel at the two o'clock position and the adjacent gear at about 12 noon or maybe 12:03. The escape wheel I think so far stops at the same spot but not the next gear to it. So, I've got two pictures showing that, but the magic marker is a little hard to see in the photos. And now it stops the same as before, sometimes hours and sometimes in just a few minutes.Ĭonsequently, I marked the escape wheel and the (next one to it)Īnd, I have discovered that most times it stops at the same spot!!! Making progress!!īut, I have found it also stops at one other spot less frequently. I took the movement out of the case and mounted on the stand for observation. It still stops sporadically, sometimes hours later and sometimes minutes later. I took the hands off completely as Harold suggested, and that has made no difference at all. Right now I need to update you all on the status. Thanks Chris, I'll concentrate on your last later on. Once you have your minute hand on properly, you should have a little (+/-1mm) of play between the minute hand assembly and the hour hand cannon. The way you have it in your last pic, with the back/forth play, 'could' cause the rack tail to miss the snail if the hour cannon is too far forward. Don't worry about having a washer if your minute hand has a square hole. I still stick by my original post about what order to put the hands and nuts on. After looking at one of my stock movements today I remembered that the issue wasn't with the nut being too tight, it was because someone had enlarged the minute hand hole which caused it to fit too deeply and rub against the hour cannon, thus putting a drag on the time train and stopping it. I remembered having a problem with an 8 day Herr a while ago and for some reason remembered it was because the final hand nut was on too tight. I should have double checked my memory before posting yesterday. The valley area, including Artorias's arena area, will also re-open for PvP once Kalameet has been shot down by Gough, as Kalameet is now considered a boss for the area. Keep in mind that a fog door will appear before his area now. Now you have to go to the valley again and you will find Kalameet on the ground, though he will still use some low-altitude flying attacks. Say 'Yes.' He will ask if you intend to prevail until the end, say 'Yes.' Then a short cinematic will play showing Hawkeye Gough using his bow to take down Kalameet from the skies. Once you have found Kalameet the second time, go back to Gough and talk to him again he will now ask you if you need help with the dragon. If you have not yet seen Kalameet fly by near the waterfall, you will not be able to ask for Gough's help. After you find Hawkeye Gough by unlocking his room using the Crest Key, you have to talk to him all the times you can until you exhaust his dialogues, then close the conversation. You will need to see Kalameet fly by near the top of the waterfall before his arena before Hawkeye Gough will offer to shoot down Kalameet. If you venture deeper in the valley you find a message saying: "If only Hawkeye Gough were here." You first need to ask Hawkeye Gough's help to shoot Kalameet down so you can engage him in melee. It's nearly impossible to fight him at this time. The fire-breath kills you instantly most of the time, though it's possible to survive one. If you go to the giant valley where you find Kalameet before talking to Hawkeye Gough about him, he will approach you flying from the other side of the valley and fire his fire-breath to you. (There is a Crystal Lizard on one of these rocks, the second from the top.) If you are feeling adventurous, you can also descend the waterfall by falling down a series of rocks protruding from the water. There will be 2 dogs and a treasure to your left at the end of the valley, and turning to your right you will find 3 dogs and a very long ladder going down next to a waterfall, which leads to the place where you find Kalameet for the second time. Follow the trail down as it curves around to the left and it will take you to the valley of the Royal Forest (the area underneath the small bridge with NPC Marvelous Chester standing at one end). Going through the opposite way to where you fight Artorias the Abysswalker, you will find a very small stairway/path going down to the left of an elevator, with a body lying at the top of the trail. He is later encountered at the end of a valley going down from the Royal Forest. Kalameet can actually be targeted and hit while briefly perched on the bridge (such as by ranged weapons) but cannot be injured. Kalameet appears for the first time while the player is traveling through the Royal Wood he lands in a bridge and watches the player for a couple of seconds before flying away, similar to what the Red Wyvern does in Undead Burg. Black Dragon Kalameet Information "Even mighty Anor Londo dared not provoke his ire." - Hawkeye Gough He is one of the strongest dragons still alive, and is encountered by the player several times before he can finally be defeated. Black Dragon Kalameet is a Boss in Dark Souls Remastered. Again, though, for the price of one, you can buy one of the US compilations that have 15+ plus games each. The Saturn/PSX collections were great when they came out, but there isn't much reason to search for them now unless you are really dying to collect them or play a handful of those games on your Saturn. It's going to be a helluva lot cheaper, and you're going to get a lot more games in the end. If you have a US PS2 or XBOX, just buy the Capcom Classics Collections. I saw someone mentioned the Capcom Generations. Some others I may recommend (That I don't think have been stated yet): DonPachi, DoDonPachi, Guardian Force, and Batsugun. Of course, the Japanese versions (including the Saturn one) have this save system fully intact. As far as the PSX version released in the US, they left the game in Japanese (what?), and they for some reason chopped out the ability to save your progress in the Story/Adventure mode (or whatever they call it). since these are pretty much unplayable without knowledge of Japanese. RPGs and strategy games usually require more Japanese knowledge and it's best to avoid visual novels, quiz games, etc. Game The Ninja for SMS is based on), Star Jacker (80s shmup), Penguin Land SG-1000, and Monaco GP.Īs far as games that can be played with no knowledge of Japanese, shmups, arcade games, fighting games, action games (aside from a few with RPG elements), and most puzzle games (stay away from word based ones, though) are generally safe. The first one has Flicky, Head On (original game Dodge 'em on the 2600 is based on), Up 'n Down, and Pengo and the second one has SEGA Samurai (70s arcade game), Ninja Princess (also known as SEGA Ninja. There are the SEGA Ages Memorial packs with older SEGA games. I also heard good things about the SEGA Ages packs with games like Space Harrier, Outrun, Fantasy Zone, and After Burner II available, though a few of those are available elsewhere, as well. Gradius Deluxe Pack (includes the arcade versions of Gradius 1 and 2. Parodius Deluxe Pack (includes two great shmups, Parodius Da!! and Gokujo Parodius. Has both the original and a special version with extra bullets and other remixed stuff) Last I checked, it's fairly cheap to get a hold of too)īatsugun (excellent shmup from Toaplan and often referred to as proto cave. A 2D fighter, known as Darkstalkers 3 on the US PSX (but this version has extra frames of animation), but one of the best on the system and makes good use of the extra memory for some slick graphics and gameplay. Vampire Savior (if you have the Action Reply with the 4m built in. Here are some Saturn import games I recommend: It was one of XS Games budget releases with removed cutscenes, though. The Saturn one is Japan exclusive, but the PSX port got a US release. It's a fighter/shmup combo designed by Psyiko (and their developers had nothing to do with Sol Feace) and is generally poorly received. Sol Divide is not the sequel to Sol Feace. It's the sequel of Sol Feace on the Sega CD. If I can add one, Sol Divide is a great one. Install Jupyter Lab and/or Notebook with PipĪs noted above, you want to install Jupyter Lab system-wide or at least in your local bin folder. However, I feel that tools like this you want to install once. I normally stress the importance of using a virtual environment. One thing to note beforehand: I recommend installing this system-wide. I’ll demonstrate how to install with both Pip and Conda. Like all Python software, installing Jupyter Lab is a breeze. Many plugins are created by fellow data scientists, specifically targeted at people like you. It’s easy to exchange and share your work. This has a couple of advantages on its own: In this case, you’ll notice that many others in data science use Jupyter Notebooks. However, some IDEs, like VSCode, will offer a built-in Jupyter Notebook (see further down this article). So a Notebook is much more geared toward those working with and analyzing data than regular IDEs. It’s ideal to use in combination with NumPy and Pandas. While doing so, the Notebook is a log of what you did and how you did it. The following image perfectly demonstrated this: A Jupyter notebook combining documentation, output, and code Interactive explorationĪ Notebook allows you to explore your data interactively. The biggest advantage of using notebooks is that it allows you to combine three things into one environment:Īll the while offering an interactive environment where you or your fellows can tinker and experiment. Let’s look at some of the advantages these notebooks have to offer. In contrast, (data) scientists and data analysts have a different focus and often prefer a Notebook-style IDE. Python application developers often prefer and work with a regular Python IDE like VSCode, which facilitates debugging, unit testing, deployment, and version management. Advantages of using Jupyter Lab and Notebook You can install Jupyter Notebook separately if you want, and I’ll show you how in this article. So in short, JupyterLab is the browser-based IDE, while Jupyter Notebook is the Notebook component inside it. On the other hand, Jupyter Notebook is a REPL-like environment that fuses code, data, and documentation. However, I’ll focus solely on Python in this article. JupyterLab supports over 40 programming languages like Java, Scala, Julia, and R. It’s also extensible: everyone can write plugins that add new components and integrate with existing ones. JupyterLab is flexible: you can configure and arrange the user interface to support a wide range of data science, scientific computing, and machine learning workflows. In addition, it allows you to open a Python terminal, as most IDEs do, to experiment and tinker. It’s most well known for offering a so-called notebook called Jupyter Notebook, but you can also use it to create and edit other files, like code, text files, and markdown files. JupyterLab is a web-based, interactive development environment. One year later, in 2013, Haruka – who had been regularly visiting Kiryu in jail – stops seeing him out of the blue. In order to completely leave his Yakuza life behind, he confesses to all the things he did within the last few games and proceeds to go to jail for four years in order to pay for his actions, even though they were all done for the greater good. We are recapped on the above during the opening of Yakuza 6 where we find out that Kiryu had regained his strength. Suddenly, just before his life draws to an end, we see Haruka appear in front of him – she saves Kiryu by getting him to the hospital just in time. Because of this, we are shown Kiryu walking down the street, in the snow, as he collapses and begins to pass out. Kiryu was fatally injured during an earlier fight in the events of Yakuza 5 and his final battle causes his wounds to open up and begin to seep blood. This revelation didn’t go down well but Haruka didn’t care as to her, family and being herself was more important than being an Idol. Yakuza 5 ended on a bombshell, Kiryu had just fought in one of the most intense battles of his life and Haruka (a girl Kiryu has looked after since Yakuza 1 (Kiwami) who spends all of Yakuza 5 training to be a Japanese Idol) has just told the world that her guardian/father is ex Yakuza. If you don’t want to know any of this, skip to past the next picture as that’s where I’ll start talking about the mechanics and not the story itself. I’ll refrain from any major spoilers, but I will be talking about events that happen during chapter one of Yakuza 6 and the ending of Yakuza 5 – Chapter one has been available within the downloadable demo (which carries your progress into the main game) for a while now on PSN. So, come with me as I take a look at the emotional rollercoaster, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life… This makes this game shorter than the others, yet it allows SEGA to give Kiryu a satisfying conclusion to the end of this chapter in his life. Whereas previous Yakuza titles have focused on numerous characters, Yakuza 6 focuses purely on Kiryu. I’ll never forget our time together and this final adventure was a perfect end to your story in the Yakuza franchise. Kiryu – I found it so hard to bring myself to play this final journey of yours, but I stayed strong and I saw it through to the end. When I felt weak and like the world was against me, I would don the role of the Dragon and release my anxiety and worries as I strolled around and helped people out while it brought a feeling of great satisfaction to my heart. If I ever felt emotional, then the adventures we have had allowed me to open up and express my feelings. The Dragon of Dojima will forever be a massive part of my life as whenever I felt down, I knew that if I jumped into a Yakuza game that I’ll be instantly cheered up. This isn’t an end, it’s a story about a legend and the legacy he leaves behind in everyone he meets, including us, the players. However, we are about to embark on Kiryu’s final journey in the Yakuza franchise – a journey of love, discovery, adventure, and acceptance – not only for Kiryu but for everyone he meets and touches along the way. We have followed Kiryu through blood, sweat and tears as we progressed through the 80’s disco era, his time as a Yakuza, the many times he’s been in prison standing up for what’s good, that one time a zombie outbreak occurred, and even in his second life as a taxi driver. A new story scenario, entitled "The Majima Saga" features recurring series anti-hero Goro Majima as a playable character. The Cabaret Club minigame from Yakuza 0 returns, as does the Clan Creator from Yakuza 6, bringing in New Japan Pro-Wrestling stars Keiji Mutoh, Masahiro Chono, Riki Choshu, Genichiro Tenryu, and Tatsumi Fujinami.“All good things must come to an end” – A popular phrase and a fitting one in reference to Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. Combat is based on that previously seen in Yakuza 6, though with a variety of new moves and special cinematic 'Heat Moves'. The player controls series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu as they explore the fictional Japanese districts of Kamurocho, Tokyo and Sotenbori, Osaka, based on the real life locations of Kabukicho and Dōtonbori, respectively. Similar to the previous remake title, Yakuza Kiwami, Kiwami 2 follows the same plot structure of Yakuza 2 while adding new gameplay features and enhancements from later titles, as well as new story elements to resolve confusing plot points in the original release and tie the game more closely to other titles in the series. Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of Yakuza 2, and is an action-adventure game set in an open world environment and played from a third-person perspective.
